I missed Part 1
We'll be covering F-J today. After reading this you should feel:
- Ready to make a change to your social media
- Inspired to start posting consistently every single day
- Motivated to show up for your audience.
This is an advertising term relevant to Facebook/Instagram ads for example.
Pro Tip: You really want to optimize the frequency of your ads. If your ad isn't shown enough, it will become easy to forget. On the other hand, if the user sees the ad too many times it can become a turn-off and attract negative feedback. This can be an undertaking if you're not used to the ins and outs.
Geotagging: Make sure you're doing this! Geotagging your content is necessary for overall increased visibility. Plus, if your viewers tag your location in their posts, it's basically free advertising for you!
Geotargeted Ads segment your audience based on geographical location. You can segment by county, state, city, or zip code. This ensures your content is seen by the correct audience based on your targeted demographic..
You want consistency in your handles as much as possible between all of your platforms. This will make it easy for your audience to find you.
Pro Tip: Unless there is a number in the name of your business, avoid adding numbers to your handles. Usually, the simpler the better for people to remember.
An important metric you should be measuring regularly.
Sometimes people confuse impressions with reach. Reach is the number of unique visitors vs impressions is how many times something was seen. The user does not have to engage with the post for it to be counted as an impression; as long as it was delivered to their feed, it counts.
Social media is a great avenue for any business owner to find a JVP.
Let's say you partner with a larger organization and within your agreement (formal or informal), they share your posts. Guess what? You just became visible to an entirely brand new audience! We love when we can help our clients partner up - we have a large network here so it's great to get everyone connected.
